With Christmas just around the corner why not take a shopping break to Dublin and be the most organised you’ve ever been getting all your shopping done before December even hits. Starting your shopping earlier also gives the added benefit of less crowds and you’ll be more likely to get what you want.
Where to start?
Henry street is the ideal place to start your day shopping, with most high street shops along this street. You can hop on the Luas from the Spencer and be there in 10 minutes. With Arnott’s, the largest Penny’s in Ireland, Jervis and Iliac shopping centres where you will find a great selection of shops!
Once you’re done with all the shops on the north side of the city, head over to Grafton Street which is just a short walk across the river. Grafton street has more high-end shops including Brown Thomas, North Face, The White Company and Ted Baker. At the top of Grafton Street, you will find Stephen’s Green shopping centre, which hosts a number of shops from a larger department store, to smaller boutique shops and even a small art gallery on the top floor. When you get tired from all that shopping why not take a quick rest in Stephen’s Green and do some people watching.
If you are looking to find something a little bit different head to George’s Street arcade where you will find boutique shops and stalls with jewellery, cloths and collectable items. This arcade has been in Dublin since 1881 and is well worth a visit on your trip.
