EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum
Reopened on June 29th
Epic the Irish emigration museum is located just a 5-minute walk away from the Spencer Hotel, so definitely worth a visit while staying in the hotel.
Located in the Vaults of the CHQ building this museum brings you on an interactive experience of what life in Ireland was like during the Irish diaspora and emigration to other countries in search for a better life. The museum which was developed in 2015 brings you into an experience where you will learn how the Irish influenced and shaped the world, read the letters of emigrants who sent letters home, learn about the Irish influence on music and hear the words of famous authors in the whispering library. You can even trace back your own heritage at the Irish Family History Centre.
There lots of fun bits to keep your little ones entertained too; let them collect every stamp in their souvenir passport, try some Irish dancing and take the EPIC quiz to see what they have learned during their trip. This museum is perfect for anyone who wants to learn about the history of Irish emigration in an interactive fun way.
Tickets cost €16.50 for adults, €15 for students/seniors and €8 for children.
The museum is open seven days per week with limited tickets that can be booked for designated time slots.
